Would it be possible for a forum post showing area's complete and area's being worked on ? I understand BT are now in front of the projected time scale and this information would help clear up the confusion the roll out maps have created.

I agree with this idea too. It would be nice to see that if things are ahead of schedule that this would have a knock on effect with the rollout in other areas to help bring their initial scheduled dates forward which would be good for all phases if the whole project could finish ahead of schedule

Hi Tim,

Thanks for raising this point. This is something we are working on at the moment and hope to get this finalised this week. Going forward, we will provides updates as we get them from BT.

Good Morning Matthew,

We are happy to publish updates of cabinets that go live as and when they happen.

Given the size of the project and the nature of the work, there will be times when we are slightly ahead of plan, but equally, we could find that because of a number of factors, we can slip back to running to plan. Clearly, we will do everything we can to accelerate where possible and we will be pleased to update as things happen.

I think putting area's that are yet to be started is a bad idea as it will create more issues for Onlincs with people saying my area was ment to be started or finished by now, That said area's done or currently being worked on wouldn't create this issue.

Looking at BT's "Where and When" fibre site it does seem that the rollout is well ahead of schedule- for example the Fulbeck Exchange is noted on this site as being upgraded mid 2015 but on the "Where and When" site it's noted as being upgraded this calendar year.

I will add my voice to those calling for a simple list of those exchanges which have been upgraded to fibre. There are only around 125 exchanges in Lincolnshire so this should not be too time consuming.

Hi Edward,

Thanks for taking time to write to us.

Given the primary technology being deployed under this project, Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC), we are declaring when cabinets go 'Live' and not Exchanges. Exchanges being fibre enabled have little relevance until the cabinet feeding your property is upgraded to FTTC.

It is very difficult to accurately print a list of which cabinet will go live and when, because there are a number of factors that can prevent it happening to plan. Planning Permission, Power connections, very bad weather, Traffic Management, Duct Blockages etc. are all factors that can delay implementation. Clearly we have a plan of what should go live and when and we are being successful thus far in working to this plan and indeed, in some cases, we are slightly ahead of plan. There are currently 553 cabinets associated with this project and as soon as we know a cabinet is 'Live', we will update the website accordingly. We will normally update the site on a Friday should information come in during that week.

We would prefer to do it this way, rather than publish a plan that potentially changes regularly and raise expectations, only to let people down should a cabinet be delayed or moved to another phase for operational reasons.
