If your New Year’s resolution is to promote your business better online, then a free session at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln could be the ideal opportunity.
In partnership with onlincolnshire and the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, Gainsborough company drumBEAT Marketing is hosting an online marketing workshop on 27th January which is free for Lincolnshire businesses to attend.
During the event from 5pm till 6.30pm at Bishop Grosseteste University, drumBEAT’s SEO expert Matt Williamson – ranked in the top 50 of the largest paid SEO community in the world – will be giving advice on how companies can boost their online presence.
Matt said: “The internet is changing every day and firms need to keep up in order to remain competitive and relevant to customers. My talk will explain how people can achieve this and offer practical tips that they can take away and put into practice in their own business.
“I’ll be giving advice that everyone can understand, whether you have a technical background or not and regardless of the size of your business.”
Matt’s session entitled, The Connected Business - Making Your Web Presence Work, will also cover how mobile devices have changed recently and the ways businesses need to adapt, as well as a summary of the latest Google developments.
In addition, he will discuss the issue of website speeds and how this can affect your site’s success, while also focusing on how recent search changes have impacted on local online advertising.
Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Colin Davie, said: “With the success of the onlincolnshire project, over 100,000 homes and businesses now have access to superfast broadband in the county.
“Sessions like this are crucial for making sure businesses are informed about how to best use this opportunity for growth. I would urge all businesses regardless of size and sector to make the most of the free advice on offer from one of the county’s foremost experts.”
