Businesses across Lincoln and North Kesteven can make sure they are prepared to take advantage of superfast broadband thanks to a free to attend Onlincolnshire event
The awareness session at the Bentley Hotel and Spa in South Hykeham just south of Lincoln will inform businesses about the support being offered by Onlincolnshire and will include taster sessions on how businesses can deal with change, developing a digital strategy and social media.
It will take place between 8.30am and 11.15am on Wednesday 21st May. Delegates can then sign up for fully funded masterclasses that will look in depth at e-commerce and internet marketing, as well as social media surgeries on Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook. One-to-one advice and support is also available through the project.
Networking starts from 8.30am and includes a free breakfast. The event then runs until 11.15am. It is open to all businesses across Lincoln and North Kesteven and is part of a wider project of support across Lincolnshire and Rutland being run by onlincolnshire. It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council which runs the project, said: “This is a chance for businesses to tap into expert advice on a range of online services, helping them to make the most of new technology and understand how it can help them prosper.
“We don’t use any techy jargon, so you don’t need to be an expert in IT to attend. We’d like to see as many businesses as possible take up this opportunity.”
