Internet Masterclass Makes Light Work of Marketing

The digital age is well and truly here, and it has never been more important for businesses to be online.

Now, thanks to Lincolnshire County Council’s onlincolnshire project, people living and working in Grantham and the surrounding area have the chance to learn how promote their products or services online for free.

Onlincolnshire, which aims to get Lincolnshire businesses up to speed with the rest of the UK, is hosting an Internet Marketing Masterclass at Stoke Rochford Hall near Grantham on Tuesday 9th September 2014.

During the event, delegates will be presented with a cost effective marketing model which they can easily implement in their own business. They will also learn about Search Engine Optimisation, podcasts and blogging, direct email, social media and outbound marketing versus inbound marketing.

The masterclass starts at 9.30am and will finish at 4.30pm. It’s fully-funded, which means it’s free to attend, and lunch and refreshments will be also be provided.

Cllr Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “This masterclass is aimed at helping people make the most of opportunities for growth and understand how the internet can benefit their business. We won’t be using any techy jargon, so you don’t need to be an expert in IT to attend.

“It will be delivered by experts in their field and give delegates practical skills and knowledge which they can use in their own business. I’d like to see as many people as possible take up this opportunity to learn something really useful for free.”

The event is open to all businesses in South Kesteven and is part of a wider project of support across Lincolnshire and Rutland being run by onlincolnshire.  It is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
