National Audit Office Report 5th July 2013 – The Rural Broadband Programme:'
The recently published National Audit Office Report headed 'The Rural Broadband Programme' has mentioned that the UK-wide programme is forecast to be delivered 22 months later than initially planned.
It further mentions that one of the contributing factors was a 6 month delay in the sign-off of EU State Aid.
The delays referred to in the report, were UK-wide delays, that occurred before Lincolnshire signed their contract with BT on 13th March 2013. It is important to emphasise that Lincolnshire are 'On track' with their published timetable and that the completion date for the whole of the UK programme, which is forecast at 22 months late, does not reflect Lincolnshire's projected completion, which is the spring of 2016 as outlined on this site.
We will continue to update this site and provide further information as we progress through the programme.
