Earlier today, the Government announced additional funding to improve rural broadband. The sum mentioned in their announcement was £440M across the UK. This is likely to come from money returned by BT as a result of improved customer take-up of Superfast services and 'efficiencies' from the existing projects.
Clearly, this is good news, because any additional investment is to be welcomed.
However, we are still awaiting the fine print and what, if any, will be allocated to Lincolnshire. As soon as we get more news, we will update this message.
