Project Updates

Phase 2 progress

26th September 2014

Phase 2 of the programme is due to be complete at the end of September and whilst the vast majority of cabinets have already been deployed and overall progress remains on plan; there have been issues with some cabinets, which we wanted to highlight.

Birchwood 44 – Awaiting confirmation from Highways regarding when the required road crossing can take place.

Ruskington 1 – Engineering works complete, but cabinet not yet commissioned; expected to be live at the end of October.

Ruskington 3 – Engineering works complete, but cabinet not yet commissioned; expected to be live at the end of October.

Scampton 2 – Cabinet delayed, current expected completion date is the 6th November, but there is an expectation that this will be live sooner.

Scampton 4 – Delays have been caused by wayleave issues as the cabinet is sited on Ministry of Defence land. The original wayleave for the new cabinet has been resolved; the second wayleave required for the power connection will be resolved imminently.

Scampton 6 – Cabinet is stood and powered, but awaiting power certification, should be live by end of October.

South Rauceby 2 – Cabinet cannot be stood as the road has not yet been adopted. BT are meeting with David Wilson Homes on the 6th October to discuss this issue.

Spalford 1 – Cabinet has been stood and powered, but excessive duct blockages have forced a re-plan for the spine connection.

Sudbrooke Park 11 – Cabinet due to be stood in the 2nd week of October.

Welton 5 – Engineering works complete, but cabinet not yet commissioned; expected to be live at the end of October.

Additionally there are still 4 cabinet from Phase 1, which are outstanding.

Holbeach 15 – Engineering complete; awaiting power certification, which is booked in for this week. Expected to be accepting orders by the end of October.

Lincoln 87 – Delay caused by power wayleave; this is now resolved. Expected to be accepting orders by the end of October.

Moulton Chapel 1 – There was originally an issue with the delivery of aerial cable, which has been resolved. There has been a further delay as the contractors have not put enough poles up. Site visit with Field Operations Manager held on 23rd September to agree new sites for poles.

Risegate 2 – Cabinet was initially sited too close to the road, so had to be re-planned. The cabinet is now stood and the majority all engineering works are complete, but still awaiting a power connection.
