Cabinet progress update
Ancaster 2 –There are blockages on the Spine for Ancaster, however BT are working on these over this coming weekend (road closure required) but it is not likely that the cabinet will be live by 31st December
Billinghay 1- All works completed except for fibre joining. This cabinet is hoped to be RFS (ready for service) in January after traffic management x 3 has been organised
Billingborough 1 (due phase 6) This is going to be delayed for a significant time. This is affected by the multiple blockages on the spine from Culverthorpe that feeds Folkingham and then Billingborough. The Folkingham blockages are complete (as of yesterday), working on the next leg to Billingborough.
Coningsby 4 – This cabinet is now 'ready for service' (RFS). In approximately two weeks this it will be ‘customer ready for service’ and products can be brought from it.
Cranwell 4 – Traffic management issues have caused unforeseen delays on this cabinet which will unfortunately not be completed before the end of December.
Culverthorpe - BT have had multiple duct blockages on the spine cable coming out of Culverthorpe exchange feeding, not only the Culverthorpe cabs but also the Folkingham and Billingborough cabs. In some instances they have had to provide brand new duct routes as this cable route has not had any new cables installed down it for many years. They are working on the multiple blockages as fast as they possibly can but it must be appreciated that this route is a traffic sensitive route so they have been constricted in what hours of the day they can work.
Friskney cabs x 4 –Multiple blockages have been identified on all legs of the spine cable feeding Friskney. Engineers are trying to clear them but this will not be a quick job. Unable to supply time frame
Grantham 81 – Cabinet positioning is likely to take place in early January
Horncastle 3 – Cabinet needs to be stood in position and power providing which is set to take place on January 15th, subject to unforeseen delays.
Heckington 1 – This cabinet is expected to be 'ready for service' (RFS) at the end of December – two weeks after this it will be ‘customer ready for service’ and products can be brought from it. 21M overlay completed, will be cabled & jointed as soon as possible.
Scampton 2 – This cabinet is expected to be 'ready for service' (RFS) at the end of December – two weeks after this it will be ‘customer ready for service’ and products can be brought from it.
South Rauceby 1 –Electric works planned for the 15th January. South Rauceby 1 & 2 are now priority.
South Rauceby 2 – Road is now confirmed as adopted and work is ongoing. This cabinet is expected to be ready in early January but BT are pushing for this to be live by 31st December if possible.
Spalding 50 – Due to unforeseen delays this cabinet is not going to be stood in position until the middle of January
Spalford 1 – BT expected this to be 'ready for service' (RFS) Friday 12th December. This date has drifted out slightly and the cabinet is now expected to be RFS at the end of December – two weeks after this it will be ‘customer ready for service’ and products can be brought from it.
Wainfleet 4 – This cabinet was 'ready for service' (RFS) last week. In approximately one week it will be ‘customer ready for service’ and products can be brought from it.
Withern Cabs x 2 – Estimated completion date of 7th February 2015.
